Creating A Safe Haven

Did you know that on average 20 people per minute are physically harmed by an intimate partner in the United States? Over the span of a year, this equates to 10 million people nationwide. Our agency will donate $10 in your name to help ensure that victims of domestic violence in our community can receive a safe haven to begin a new chapter in their life.

Haven House is a wonderful local organization located in the heart of Rio Rancho, who has made it their mission to support survivors of domestic violence. Haven House has been working vigorously to stop the violence in our community with the help of the passionate team and community support. Haven House offers support in a wide variety of ways such as, 24/7 emergency shelter and case management, legal advocacy, in-shelter and out-of-shelter support groups, individual counseling for victims and their children who have experienced domestic violence, life-skills classes, children’s program and community education and training. Their facilities are able to accommodate up to thirty-two survivors and their children at any given time. “Haven House has been a place of safety for victims to rebuild in our community and we are confident together we can help make a difference”. – Jalene Berger

Haven House’s mission is “Help domestic violence victims gain immediate safety plus knowledge, skills, and resources to succeed in lives free of violence.” All funds raised during our campaign will go directly to Haven House, so they may continue to offer their supportive programs so every survivor of domestic violence in our community may never feel alone.
