Most standard homeowners policies in the state of New Mexico will not cover short-term rental. They will, a homeowner’s policy, in fact, if you get very technical, will not cover long-term rental either. You need to convert your homeowner’s policy to something called a landlord’s policy because it’s tenant-occupied. But when it comes to Airbnb, VRBO, there are companies out there that will allow you to purchase a short-term rental because it changes the, it changes the exposure.
