RIDING INTO A BETTER TOMORROW

Horses are truly majestic creatures. From their long, flowing manes to their kind and warm-hearted personalities, horses attract our natural wonder and admiration.

For the first community cycle this new year, we here at The Berger Agency are teaming up with Loving Thunder. This charity discovered how to use our affinity with horses to help provide a therapeutic experience for those in need in our community. Loving Thunder offers therapeutic riding lessons for special needs children and adults, veterans, foster children, and kids without disabilities.

Therapeutic riding targets riding skills as a first goal, providing benefits for the rider by building muscle strength, training hand-eye coordination, and improving fine and gross motor skills. More importantly, though, therapeutic riding helps improve its riders’ social skills and self-confidence, and to form an unbreakable bond with a horse, all while having fun outdoors. Veterans with PTSD have also had their symptoms alleviated through therapeutic riding.
